3D-Print in Design: Hybrid Prototyping

The presentation describes the challenges and opportunities of hybrid prototypes. The aim was to remain in the digital design process with few media disruptions, to be able to hold a physical, haptic prototype in your hand but also to use all the advantages of digital 3D visualization. This was achieved using 3D prints onto which colors, materials, transparency, reflections and animations are projected using augmented reality. Even direct interaction with the hybrid prototype is possible.
