Not really. You pay at least 2.5 times and there are issues in there too. Also much fewer options when it comes to software, and every little piece of utility costs another $20 to $200 – things that on windows are either open source or freeware.
What we need is a change in philosophy+attitude, as tech companies are not responsible for anything these days, they use and abuse their users as they please with no consequences because monopoly/oligopoly.
