Buffer size, host and patch seem irrelevant – as I said (and if you watch the video I posted) I have had this with an init patch, not playing a note either recorded or live. Once the spiking and clicking starts the only solution I have found is a reboot, even switching hosts makes no difference. Reboot clears it up for a while.
