virtualbox – After updating arch (sudo pacman -Syu), my machine became unbootable. I am on VMware

I tried reinstalling arch in a new virtual machine on VMware, but it wouldn’t even load into the arch terminal. It would give me boot errors and that was it. I believe this is an issue with VMware rather than arch, because when I tried the exact same ISO file on Vbox, I had no issues. I also tried using the ISO files from one month earlier, and two months earlier, and I got the same issue in VMware. Still no problems on Vbox, but I do need to access my VMware version of the machine because I have important files on there that I can’t afford to lose.
