systemd – Failed to Start Journal Service Error on Pop! OS (Ubuntu) Boot
I recently was booting my laptop when I accidentally plugged in an RFID scanner device and scanned a card during the Pop! OS boot sequence (after cryptsetup and before login screen). The system then jumped into an error loop as in the image below:
I believe accidentally using the scanner during the boot sequence has messed something up. I’ve run fsck
from a USB, chrooted into the filesystem, and everything looks okay. However, I cannot boot into the system normally as it hangs on this step. Google does not seem to have many solutions to this issue, and help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
