Good topic. I think they sounded better vs emulations. On another forum people compared one famous hw synth vs its emulations by the same corporation and all agreed that none of emulating versions had same type of sound. Hw has some randomness from nature or gods while soft is purely math attempts with 1 and 0 and those attemps are finite, not even comparable to number of physical interations inside one electronic part of that equipment.
