Connecting PowerBI in US to Azure SQL Database in …

We have a requirement to store weekly snapshot of data from a certain source system to build a PowerBI report. If the data is being stored in Azure SQL DB ( Mexico region) and the report would be published in the service in US region, will there be any issues to render this data in PowerBI service. If yes, what would be the right way to do it with having any impact on the performance. Would appreciate any advice on this.
