so the mix knob is for the amount of processed signal at the device OUTPUT [not input] blended with the dry signal entering the device. the mix knob has no effect on stopping the signal going to your device. so if you have two tracks going to the same external compressor for example. you have both set to 0% mix you will hear both signals dry. if you have one set to 100% mix and 1 set to 0% mix and you have both tracks activated with signal coming through – you will hear the track thats at 0% mix…
