I once started a “Plugin Development Best Practices” thread (something like that) in the DSP forum, trying to highlight things like that I consider best practices in the hopes that developers could go “ok, agree with that, yeah, that’s a good idea, I can do that a little differently…oh, I didn’t think of that”. Went nowhere of course. But yeah, I wish developers would look at little things like that and try to adhere to established standards and best practices wherever possible. It would be nice if I wasn’t regularly resetting params when I wanted text entry, or getting pissed that there’s no Shift+Drag fine control at all, stuff like that.

Note: not a knock on Audiority. I’m speaking VERY generally at the moment.
