VanDeYacht Audio MC-1
MC-1 is a clean mastering clipper for Mac and Windows. It gets a mix as loud as today’s releases and keeps the depth, punch and air that loudness usually costs.
Clip shaves off only the peaks, with clipping and saturation oversampled up to 32x. Character places the clipper’s distortion where it is heard least and keeps drum hits punchy. Clarity brings back mids that louder parts of the mix cover. A true-peak ceiling from -3 to +4 dBTP is built in, so MC-1 can finish a master alone or feed your limiter. Delta plays only what MC-1 adds or removes, and Auto matches the output to the input’s loudness, so you judge the sound and not the extra volume.
Linear or minimum phase oversampling, dither from 16 to 32-bit, loudness and true-peak metering, 64-bit double precision.
AU and VST3 on macOS; VST3 and standalone on Windows. No AAX yet. 30-day free trial; every 1.x update is free.
