xfce – Ubuntu 24.04 UAD (Universal Android Debloater) install problem

I have a new install of 24.04, tried to install UAD, installed the required package (android-sdk-platform-tools), but when trying to run the app from terminal, got the following message “

is this because of Wayland? I had it installed with the same procedure in MX Linux XFCE without a problem.
