windows 11 – Visual Studio Code (VS Code) – Keeps disappearing/uninstalling

I use Visual Studio Code on Windows 11 Pro on a Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2. Very frequently, when I reboot or wake up the computer, I am finding that Visual Studio Code is missing with an error that it could not find code.exe and requires that I reinstall it. This happens probably once every one to two weeks, sometimes even more frequently.

Guidance on what could be causing this, how I could prevent this or ensure that VS Code is always present would be appreciated. I am not sure where to start with diagnosing this issue.
