Windows 10 IoT Core – Thurrott.com

I recently had an idea for a Raspberry Pi project and thought I would try using Windows IoT Core with it since I have experience with UWP apps and thought it would be easier than learning GUI Linux programming. This is only to find out that it seems Microsoft left Windows 10 IoT core to wither on the vine and there is not Windows 11 successor for cusomers (it seems there is an enterprise IoT platform).

Just curious if anyone has any insight or has read any tea leaves on this. Was Windows IoT Core just another failed experiment?
