Win 11 system – pops and clicks in last 2 months (in: Computer Setup and S…)

I have a new system I got in November. It replaced a machine from 2019 which ran DAW Stuff reasonably well with no issues. The new machine is a 12th gen i9 with 32 GB RAM.
The thing is, over the last 2 months I have been noticing pops and clicks, even on modest projects. Does anyone know of anything MS might have done in terms of Windows updates that might be tanking my system? (like perhaps the time they decided to turn Bitlocker on for me even though I had it turned off?)
