Why does VE Pro Save when I disconnect the VST in Cubase

VE Pro runnnig on a slave computerd decoupled and preserved. When I disconnect the VST in Cubase 7, VE Pro saves the metaframe (or maybe it’s just saving the project, not sure). Regardless, the Saving Data screen on the slave comes up.

I don’t remember this behavior from before, but it’s been a long time since I’ve disconnected an instance. And the mind is the first thing to go….

Is there a way to change this? I normally save manually on the slave so don’t really need an automatic save.
