Why does (almost) no drum plugin let a reversed sample END on the beat? A free demo, and a question (in: Instruments)

Hi all,

a reverse cymbal into the next downbeat is one of the oldest tricks, but every time I do it by hand: A sampler or drum machine knows the length of the sample at the chosen pitch and it knows the beat position of the host — so it could start the sound early enough that it ends exactly at the end of the step. I have not found a drum plugin that does this as a normal step mode.
