Why do certain presets crash when the V2 engine is enabled? – LennarDigital Forum

I set the option useV2Engine=”1″ in the Settings.xml file so Sylenth1 would use its older V2 engine.

I love how the V2 engine sounds:very late 2000s/2008 electropop vibes.

However, I’ve noticed a weird issue when using it: Sylenth1 crashes whenever I select certain presets, especially the SFX presets from Factory Bank 1.

For example, the preset ” 122: SFX Eerie Mist” from Factory Bank 1 consistently crashes Sylenth1 with the V2 engine enabled.

Why does this happen?

For context, I’m using Sylenth1 v3.073 (64-bit VST3) on Windows 11 with FL Studio 21.

This is sad because i prefer how the plugin sounds in V2, i wish there was an option in the plugin menu to use the older engine instead of having to edit the .xml file too

I really love this plugin it’s the best
