i think there is a standard missing here. The standard should be: interfaces (synths/effcts/etc.) should clearly present its internal samplerate so the user knows what they are actually running.

You say “hopefully never” but how do you know 88200 isn’t actually the secret standard of “big synth”? “Totall unecessary”, but the point of this thread is to show that 44100 isn’t actually 44100 sometimes.
