Waves Curves AQ, Equator, Resolve vs the "originals" ? (in: Effects)

With these new Waves plugins I’m a bit confused to which other plugins I can compared them to ?

let me know if I got this right:

Curves Equator can be directly compared to Soothe2 ?

Curves AQ can be directly compared to Gulfoss ?

Resolve can be directly compared to TrackSpacer ?

is there anything extra that Waves plugins bring vs the competitors ?

I really want to avoid Waves because of their update plan
( I rather pay 4 times for a plugin and sleep peacefully knowing that on re-install I…
