Yeah, I’m not following, either. Do you mean…

1. Comping (stacking different takes so you can choose the best parts out of all of them)
2. Punching (recording something that overwrites (erases) what was there before)
3. Overdubbing (recording new material that’s merged into existing material)

Waveform can indeed handle all three for both MIDI or audio (but of course, not MIDI and audio together).
