Visual Studio 2022 space required but has the close button

I have an issue with the Visual Studio 2022 installer. For some reason after the install completes it says 99MB remaining in the “space required” label in the lower right corner of the installer window. The button that I would expect to say Modify so I would have some hope of completing the installation says close instead. So I am stuck. I tried adding something like .Net 4.8 SDK to force the modify button to show up which it did but post installation the space required went from 384MB to over 600MB instead of going to 0 or at least down. I’ve already tried an uninstall of the VS instance and reinstalled it. The only thing I didn’t do yet was uninstall the installer itself. I was hoping to avoid that.
