An update to version 7.0.8 is available for the VirtualBox. This is a maintenance update. So without new functions. But a large number of corrections were made. Here is a selection:

  • Fixed various graphics issues with Windows 7 guests
  • Introduced the modifynvram enrollmok subcommand to register the machine owner key in NVRAM so that the Linux guest kernel can retrieve it to verify the signature of modules signed with that key
  • Linux Guest Extensions and Host Drivers: Introducing initial support for kernel 6.3
  • Linux Guest Additions: Added experimental support for reloading kernel modules and user services at the end of the installation process, so that a guest reboot is generally no longer required after upgrading from Guest Additions (7.0.8 and newer).
