Using both MIDI outs on DT – Digitakt

I can’t figure out why my DT isn’t sending the same MIDI signals to both its midi outputs. I have a sequence on the Midi A track sending on channel 1, and if I connect the a midi cable to MIDI out A, the receiving device gets it, but connecting the cord to the MIDI Thru B output, nothing seems to happen. Needless to say, I have “Thru port func” set to “Midi.” I can’t seem to send MIDI notes or transport via the second output.

I have used the midi out and midi thru simultaneously when the thru was sending DIN/sync, so the port itself is not entirely broken, but I’m not sure what to try next.
