US antisemitism envoy criticises Australia over Bondi terror attack

Washington | The Trump administration says the royal commission into the Bondi terror attack must probe whether intelligence failings allowed the attackers to obtain weapons, as he criticised the Albanese government’s half-hearted handling of aggression towards Jewish Australians.

Donald Trump’s special envoy to combat antisemitism Yehuda Kaploun told a press briefing on Monday (Tuesday AEST) in Washington that the Albanese government had failed to empower his counterpart in Australia, Jillian Segal, until the attack on December 14 last year.
