Unusual usage of iLok by "Sample Logic"? (in: Effects)

yea i just had the same thing happen and got brain dead responses from sample logic support about it, they never answered my question about what happens if I lose my dongle or if I need to move the license to another dongle.
They must be storing SOMETHING on the dongle itself because they claim you can move the dongle to different computers be able to use animation station there…but whatever they have stashed on the dongle and whatever way they have done it…must be somehow outside of Ilok…
