Unable to download Tabular Model from Azure Analysis Services using Visual Studio / SSMS

Issue Description:

We are attempting to download the model using Visual Studio (Analysis Services Tabular Project) by selecting Import from Server (Tabular Model) and connecting to the Azure Analysis Services instance. However, the download process fails with an error and the model cannot be retrieved locally.

We also attempted connecting through SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) but encountered similar issues when trying to access or export the model.

Questions:

• Is there a specific permission required to download a model from Azure Analysis Services?
• Are there any known limitations when downloading models from Azure Analysis Services using Visual Studio?
• Is there an alternative method to export or download the model (for example using Tabular Editor or scripting)?

Any guidance on how to successfully download the model would be appreciated.
