Ubuntu25 inside a virtualBox running on Windows11 OBS not picking up video capture device

Ok here me out. I have a windows 11 home edition machine. On this machine I have virtualbox running an Ubuntu25 machine. One that Ubuntu25 virtual machine I have OBS installed. I have OBS installed on the Win11 host as well.

Here is my problem. On Win11, OBS can see my video capture device. On the Ubuntu25 virtual machine OBS can NOT see the same video capture device.

Has anyone here in the Ubuntu community had this problem and been able to solve it?

Let me know if there is a better place to ask this question and I will post there also.

Thank you.
