TugImgSynth is a VST3 instrument that turns imported images into playable wavetables. Drop in a photo, drawing, pattern, or abstract graphic and the plugin scans pixel data to create evolving oscillator material inside your DAW.

The image engine offers horizontal and circular scan modes, so the same picture can produce sharper edge-based waves or smoother continuous motion. Zoom, rotation, translation, skew, pixel interpolation, and the 1.2.0 mouse-control update make the visual source feel like a live sound-design surface rather than a static sample.

Under the image oscillator, TugImgSynth still behaves like a real synth. It adds sine, saw, square, and noise oscillator layers, four syncable LFOs, four modulation envelopes, dedicated amp and filter ADSR controls, MIDI modulation sources, oversampling, an oscilloscope, and a spectrogram.

The result is best treated as an experimental wavetable playground for pads, glitch textures, drones, cinematic effects, and unusual leads.
