It’s definitely possible.
You can easily try it out in a score equipped with a guitar staff and a linked tablature.
To create this configuration in a new MuseScore 4 document select:
File > New > Create from Template > Solo > Guitar + Tablature
In the new “Guitar + Tablature” score enter notes in the treble clef and they will appear in the tablature staff.
Alternately you can copy treble clef notation from another MuseScore document and paste it—in your new “Guitar + Tablature” score—into the treble clef or the tablature staff.
