I can’t speak for Logic, but Live’s M1 beta simply does not display any vsts that aren’t M1 Native, so they can’t be opened. You’d need to open the daw in Rosetta mode from the get go.
You can open AUs though, as Apple’s AUCompatibiltyHost enables this.

RE Ilok, I directly asked Soundtoys for a timeline and their answer was similar, but more cagey, than LiquidSonics’. So yes, I suspect plenty of ilok reliant devs are awaiting specific components they need for PACE before they can release updates.
