You could try Kiloheart’s Compacter as a free(!) alternative. It can generate greater, more precise levels of ducking than Trackspacer, but requires a bit more twiddling with the settings depending upon the source.

Broadly speaking, these kinds of tools usually generate some amount of distortion when pushed to the extreme depths or speeds, and there’s generally a compromise to be made between the amount of the effect vs the amount of acceptable distortion.
