The Pentagon has received Raytheon’s eighth H4 laser system, which destroys UAVs
The H4 combat laser with a power of 10 kW is completely autonomous and fits on a vehicle, the fourth installed by the Armed Forces and the eighth installed by the Pentagon. The laser is intended to intercept an unmanned aircraft (UAV).

The highly mobile H4 can be placed on the ground, roofs, or on stationary objects, like the Polaris MRZR lightweight buggy.
Raytheon Intelligence & Space is developing the combat laser. The system includes long-range EO / IR sensors, a power supply system, and software for control and guidance. Physical control is performed using a laptop and a controller.
The laser is compatible with US global command and air defense systems. Joint testing of the two systems have shown excellent results.
The main advantage of laser air defense is its ability to instantaneously neutralize a drone. The beam immediately reaches the target and disables the UAV, which is accelerated by a high-precision guidance system.
