The cameras, systems, lenses and GAS thread

What I now do when I lug around a heavier bit of gear (Z50II w/ Tamron 50-400mm, that’s close to 2kg): when shooting, I keep the thing in hand, and try to distribute the weight between handholding and letting it “lean” on the strap (PD slide lite, connected to the left and bottom of the camera so it angles down). When walking around, I hook the tripod collar “hook” over my belt, like, my keep-my-pants-from-escaping belt. That takes most if not all of the weight off of my shoulders. I position it on my hip, so it’s not constantly bumping on my butt of front matter.
