What I remember is they somehow stopped agreeing to VST 2 license applications. And, maybe, these agreements were limited for a certain time period and had to be renewed? (But I never did so. I just signed it once 20 years ago so that I could legally put a VST plugin into a zip file I shared, of a song using a DLL file… without the logo)
The first page of the VST3 license agreement states “This Agreement neither applies to the development nor the hosting of VST2 Plug-Ins.”
