Syncing Ableton on PC, Pro Tools on Mac

I have really enjoyed rewiring Ableton Live into Pro Tools on my Mac, mainly because I love the drum racks. I pretty much use Ableton strictly for that. However, the inability to use 3rd party plugins is starting to become a huge letdown.

I have an older PC tower I’ve dusted off that I’ve loaded Live onto, in hopes that I can run it with its own audio interface into my PT inputs – therefore getting around the Rewire/VST problem and giving me a great opportunity to do some drum processing in the analog realm before going into PT.

I have a single interface now, a Digi002, which is connected to my Mac running PT10. I know I will need a second interface for the PC, and I know I will need some way to slave Live’s clock to PT so they play in sync. However, I am woefully ignorant in how this could be done.
