Sunbird chord pattern maker

As in the AS Sunbird acoustic guitar VI.

I am struggling with this. After I have made my pattern, I click save, then add to patterns, the name of the pattern appears in the list at the bottom as it should, but the pattern does not play – just a default one strum per crotchet?

There is nothing in the manual about how to save an edited pattern.

There is some complicated sequence involving the save and add to patterns, but I can’t seem to find it having tried all the obvious permutations.

I need a step-by-step guide on how to save the pattern.
