Well, if you listen to the YouTube demo, the PWM sounds pretty convincing. And that seems like it requires something other than samples (to adjust the PWM amount and PWM LFO rate in real time). So that’s why I think it’s probably a wavetable of each oscillator waveform with the PWM amount increasing across the wavetable.
IMO, one of the best features of the Alpha Juno and MKS-50 is the sound of the PWM. It’s very rich and fat. And you can apply PWM to all the waveforms, not just the square wave…
