Hi all, I’m Jared, a programmer and longtime sax player. I’ve spent the past while building the wind instrument I wanted to play on my own EWI, and it’s ready for other people to try.
Starbreath is a physically modelled wind instrument: no samples, no Kontakt. Every note is computed from a waveguide model of air, bore, reed and lips, so breath and bite change the tone, not just the volume. A soft note on the duduk sounds like a soft duduk, not a quiet loud one.
