You can use it without the AI option, and make it less transparent if that’s what you you want to achieve. That should be easy. getting a bit of distortion by over limiting, or hard clipping will give you less transparent results. I like the limiter to be very transparent to preseve the character of the original mix. The character is something I try to achieve in the mixing phase of a production, not the mastering phase.
