Been spending some time with Softube Parallels – a few design choices stand out.

Envelopes are strictly linear with no curve controls, making snappy dynamics tough to achieve out of the box.

The lack of user wave import means relying strictly on factory sounds, which will quickly feel limiting.

Because the Amp Envelope is locked to volume and cannot modulate the matrix, triggering an LPG strike requires using 1 of 4 Mod Pods just to move the filter cutoff on Note On. The LPG Slew control emulates a vactrol decay nicely, but wasting a full slot just to get basic filter tracking remains a clear drawback.
