Maybe it can be that i got and installed tue last paud version before they released it as free ware. Bit as far as i can recall you still had to activate it with their servers to unlock it and i never got an “offline keyfile” to activate it, it was all done online. Even when i asked them for a generic offlime unlock key because i had a commercial paid for licence and a novation account they refused refering to compat8bilty issues with future operating systems which was just utter nonsense beca…
