Sketchfab Adds NoAI & CreatedWithAI Tags

Furthermore, on March 23, 2023, Sketchfab will “forbid licensed models marked ‘NoAI’ from being used in datasets for, in the development of, or as inputs to generative AI programs” as part of their Terms of Use update.

Among other things, the upcoming update will also require models that are made available under the Creative Commons license or the standard Sketchfab License Agreement to be tagged as “CreatedWithAI” if they have been made with generative AI programs. The new ToU update is being designed to “help provide increased transparency around how models have been created” and “help other community members to find what they are looking for more easily.”
