A limiter that holds the ceiling you set, including between samples.
Catching peaks inside an oversampled path isn’t enough on its own — decimating back down puts some of them straight back. There’s a second inter-sample stage after the downsample that catches what the first one let through, which is why the true peak reading stays where you put it.

- TRUE PEAK — inter-sample detection on or off.
