Sequencer Step Size Seems to Be Global Setting (in: Roger Linn Design)

I’m listening to a sequence on the left split, and it’s playing as expected. When I switch my view to the right split (also a sequence) and change the step size from 8th note to 16th note, I can hear the left split’s playback changing. Is this setting global, and not per-split? It doesn’t look like it should be, given the status lights’ changes, so maybe this is just an unexpected behavior?
