Sampling Tools — A shared thread of tools for all OSes (in: Instruments)

I’ve used HALion to sample hardware synths. I have a Cubase set up with a track that has every note from C0 up to C6/7.
I use that to play the synth and record the audio.
I then play that audio into HALion and it creates a multisample with trimmed individual .wavs labelled with the note name. Downside of HALion is I think it will only save the multisamples in it’s own format?
