One other thing might to be to initially simplify things. Can you use another USB port and input directly from USB to the UBXA USB port? Otherwise, you’re troubleshooting both the synth and the 204 interface.

Another thing to watch for – do you have ANY controls in Waveform on that track? Remember that most VST instruments and some effects will strip any MIDI going through, so even a volume or a reverb (which don’t make sense at the MIDI level) may block MIDI commands.
