ro-drums-909 by Lemus – Drum Machine Plugin VST3 Audio Unit
ro-drums-909 emulates the Roland TR-909 Rhythm Composer (1984), a drum machine with analog voices, sampled hi-hats and cymbals, and a step sequencer. It runs the original sequencer firmware on an emulated CPU, and models the voicing board part by part from the service notes; the hi-hat, crash and ride play their samples from their own ROMs.
Without the program ROM image (tr909_v4.ic609, not included) it runs in voice mode: the voices play from MIDI, without the sequencer. Without a sample ROM, that voice is silent.
Calibrated to recordings of a late TR-909 on a fine grid of knob settings; earlier boards by serial number in SERVICE.
