Re: VirtualBox nested inside ESXi VM

Unfortunately, I had set those security settings on the vSwitch, but the communication was not successful.

When I sniff the traffic on the virtualbox VM I can see ICMP request traffic from a third VM outside the nested VMs. In addition I see the ICMP replies from virtualbox VM. However, ICMP replies from virtualbox VM are not sent back to that third machine (not even those replies reach the host VM where the virtualbox VM is nested).

Another kind of traffic I can sniff is ARP traffic. There are no replies to ARP request to the gateway and the third VM outside nested VMs from the virtualbox VM (to see ICMP replies above mentioned I had to manually set up the third VM´s MAC Address).
