raspberry pi – Level-to-pulse converter (using a NPN transistor) for shorting a pin to ground
(Sorry for such a simple question, but I’m still a noob at electronics.)
I have a Raspberry Pi connected to a UPS and have programmed it to turn off when it detects that the power supply has been disconnected. I now want it to power on after I plug it back in. Since the UPS doesn’t do that automatically and the battery still has charge I need a small circuit that pulls GPIO3 to Ground for a short time after it receives a voltage change from 0V to 5V.
This is the circuit I have come up with:
Does this circuit short GPIO3 to Ground for the time it takes the capacitor to charge?
