Product Overview

The Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5) is a compact system-on-module based on the same Broadcom BCM2712 processor used in the Raspberry Pi 5. This version features a quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A76 processor running at 2.4GHz, 4GB of LPDDR4-4267 SDRAM with ECC, 64GB of eMMC flash storage, and dual-band 2.4/5GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0/BLE. Designed for embedded applications, the CM5 exposes its interfaces through two 100-pin high-density connectors for integration with a custom carrier board.

The Compute Module 5 provides a wide range of high-speed interfaces for embedded computing, including PCIe 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, dual 4-lane MIPI camera/display interfaces, and up to 30 GPIO. Its VideoCore VII GPU supports OpenGL ES 3.1 and Vulkan 1.3, while hardware video decoding supports up to 4Kp60 HEVC. The wireless version also includes an onboard antenna with an option to use an external antenna through the module’s U.FL connector.

At just 55mm × 40mm, the Compute Module 5 provides the processing capabilities of the Raspberry Pi 5 in a form factor intended for custom hardware, industrial equipment, automation systems, gateways, kiosks, and other embedded applications. The CM5 is mechanically compatible with the Compute Module 4 and is supported for production through at least January 2036.
